HNLC cadre surrenders

Shillong, Jan 24 (UNI) A cadre of the banned Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council operating in Meghalaya surrendered before the police yesterday.

Police today said the 20-year-old Detmi Myntdu surrendered before the Superintendent of Police H Nongpluh in-charge Jaintia Hills district.

The cadre had deserted the HNLC camps in Bangladesh in 2005.

The surrendered militant is being interrogated by the police.
