HLL pays dividend to govt

New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) The Thiruvananthapuram-based Hindustan Latex Limited (HLL), the only manufacturer of contraceptives in the public sector, has paid an interim dividend of Rs 1.55 crore to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

A cheque for the amount was handed over to Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and Health Secretary Naresh Dayal by HLL Chairman and Managing Director M Ayyappan here yesterday.

HLL, the only enterprise under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has recorded an increase of 28 per cent in the turnover during the six month period ending September 30 last year.
