GE Shipping to sell 1982-built product tanker
New Delhi, Jan 24: GE Shipping today signed a contract to sell a 1982-built, 47803 dwt product tanker.
The ship -- Jag Padma -- is expected to be delivered during the current quarter.
The company's existing fleet of 41 vessels comprises 32 tankers(14 crude oil carriers, 16 product carriers, and two LPG carriers) andnine drybulk carriers (one panamax, five handymax and three handysize)with an average age of 13.1 years aggregating 2.96 million dwt.
Its current new order book comprises eight product tankers (fourmedium range and four LR1 product tankers aggregating around 0.47million dwt).
