Bank manager jailed in Bihar

Patna, Jan 24 (UNI) The special vigilance judge of Patna, S P N Singh, today remanded Bank manager Arun Chandra Gupta to judicial custody in a bribe case till February 5.

During the day, the accused Gupta, branch manager of Koshi Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Araria, was produced before the designated judge by the vigilance officials after his arrest.

According to the charges, the accused was arrrested by the vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 1000 from a customer of Bank for issuing Kisan Credit card on January 23, 2006.
