Two killed in accidents, woman commits suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 23 (UNI) Two people were killed in different road accidents while a woman committed suicide in the Kashmir valley today, police said.

They said a TATA Sumo, on way to Anantnag from Srinagar, hit and wounded Zaina at Sangam in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

The woman was immediately rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to injuries.

A tipper hit and wounded Ghulam Mohammed Khanday near the Institute of Hotel Management here, police added. Khanday was rushed to a hospital here where he succumbed to injuries.

Police said a woman, Meema Akhter, consumed some poisonous substance at Danew Kandimarg in Anantnag district. She was brought to the Anantnag District hospital in critical condition.

She later died in the hospital.
