Two drown in abandoned quarry

Bhopal, Jan 23 (UNI) Two children today drowned when they had gone to take bath in an abandoned 'murram' quarry -- which was filled with water -- at Aredi village near Ayodhya Nagar area of the state capital, police said.

The deceased were identified as Rajesh Gupta (16) and Rahul Shrivas (16).

Two other children, who also ventured into the pond, swam to safety.

These four children had gone to take bath after playing nearby, police said.
