Three shot dead at Manipur

Imphal, Jan 23(UNI) Three persons were shot dead by army and some unidentified miscreants in three separate incidents yesterday, police said.

The Assam Rifles sources here said a cadre of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup(KYKL) was shot dead by troops. Another person identified as Chongtham Ananda, of Lamdeng , Imphal was also shot dead by unknown armed persons.

To protest the killing, NH 53 was blocked by irate people today.

Police said a body was found at Imphal area.
