Tata Motors revenue up by 37 per cent in Q3

Mumbai, Jan 23 (UNI) Tata Motors revenue for the quarter ended December 31 on a stand-alone basis (net of excise) was Rs 6956.84 crore an increase of 37 per cent compared to Rs 5074.74 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last year.

Briefing media here today, MD of Tata Motors Ravi Kant, said that the consolidated revenue wass Rs 8176.03 crore for the quarter, an increase of 37 per cent compared to the same period last year. The vehicles sales volume for the quarter was 1,41,827 units, compared to 1,11,228 units during the corresponding quarter last year, said Executive director (Finance) of the company Pravin Kadle.

However replying to a media query, Mr Ravi Kant maintained that the prices of the cars may vary at different markets depending on the situation during the current year. In reply to another query, he said that South Africa continues to be an important market for us.
