Student stabbed to death

Rohtak, Jan 23 (UNI) An eighth standard student was stabbed to death and another youth was injured in two separate incidents here, police said today.

Sumit, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, was returning to his house after tuition last evening when he was attacked with a knife, allegedly by another youth Mitu and his unidentified accomplice.

Sumit, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was rushed to the PGIMS where he succumbed to his injuries. Police sent the body for post mortem and registered a case of murder against the alleged assailants, who were absconding.

In another incident, one Ajit was stabbed allegedly by Ashok and his accomplice on the Rohtak-Hissar road here yesterday. While the assailant fled the spot after committing the crime, the victim was rushed to the PGIMS for treatment.
