Soren moves HC against conviction
New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Former Union Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief Sibu Soren has appealed in the High Court against his conviction by a lower court in the Shashinath Jha murder case.
Soren filed the plea yesterday against the lower court ruling, which convicted and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The CBI has charged that one of the motives behind the murder of Shashinath Jha, who was Soren's private secretary, was that the two fell out over sharing the bribe offered by the Congress party to bail out its government at the Centre in 1993.
