Indira Gandhi Social Service Awards presented
Bhopal, Jan 23: Three prominent social workers of Madhya Pradesh were presented the state-level Indira Gandhi Social Service Awards here yesterday.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented the awards, comprising Rs one lakh in cash, a shawl, Shrifal and citation.
Noted social worker Ramsakha Gautham has been given the award for 2001-02 for establishing a social research institute at Ujjain, Mr Heeralal Sharma of Barwani has been given the award for 2002-03 for providing free fodder and water to over 5,000 cattle, while the award for 2003-04 was given to Ms Champaben of Sagar in recognition of her efforts towards eradication of prostitution.
