Seven die, 4 injured in road accident in Chamoli

Dehra Dun, Jan 23 (UNI) Seven people died and four others were critically injured when a car plunged into a 400 m deep gorge in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand today.

According to the SDM Chamoli Uday Singh, the car was on its way to Seti from Ghoni. The driver lost control of the vehicle near Thlbagad and plunged into a 400 m deep gorge, killing five people on the spot. While one person died on the way to hospital another succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The four injured have been admitted to Gopeshwar Government Hospital.

Chief Minister N D Tiwari has expressed his condolence to the bereaved family.
