Raj TV News Editor passes away
Chennai, Jan 23: Mr P Kalaichelvan, News Editor, Raj TV, a private Tamil satellite channel, died here following a massive heart attack this morning.
He was 53. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Mr Kalaichelvan began his journalistic career in the then CPI organ 'Janashakti'' and had worked in 'Soviet Nadu' and 'Malai Chudar' before switching over to the electronic media.
He joined Vijay TV after the channel came out with newscast five years ago and later joined Raj TV.
Family sources said Mr Kalaichelvan suffered chest pain in the early hours and was rushed to a private hospital at suburban Porur.
He died few hours after admission family sources said adding the funeral would take place this evening.
