Palestinian gumen say seized 3 Westerners in W.Bank

NABLUS, West Bank, Jan 23 (Reuters) Palestinian militants said today they seized three Westerners in the West Bank city of Nablus.

A spokesman for al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, part of President Mahmoud Abbas's faction, said one of the men was a French diplomat and that he was accompanied by two bodyguards.

Weapons carried by the bodyguards initially raised suspicions the men were undercover Israeli soldiers, the spokesman said, adding that all three were likely to be released shortly.
