No proposal to increase retirement age of employees: CM
Panaji, Jan 23 (UNI) Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane today told the Goa Legislative Assembly that the government did not entertain any proposal to enhance the retirement age of officials.
In a written reply to a question, Mr.Rane told the BJP opposition leader Manohar Parrikar that 754 government employees were due to retire on superannuation during 2007-08.
This entailed a terminal benefit amounting to Rs.39.49 crores.Those retiring included 48 group A employees, 73 from group B, 531 from group C and 102 group D employees, the Chief Minister added.
