Naga NGOs call for state's development

Kohima, Jan 23 (UNI) The leading NGO's of Nagaland have called upon all sections of the state to help in the development and growth of the present generation.

In a joint consultative meeting here yesterday the Naga Hoho, Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR), Naga Mothers' Association (NMA) and Naga Students' Federation (NSF) in view of the prevailing situation in the state, deliberated on how to consolidate their roles and responsibilities.

The members expressed the difficulties thet had undergone in the recent past owing to many factors including the developmental activities.

The menbers also acknowledged the recent proclamation of NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chishi Swu on January 13 last and yesterday's statement of NSCN (K) Ato Kilonser N Kitovi Zhimomi, who have asked the Nagas to forget the past happenings and come forward for reconciliation with collective wisdoms.

The meeting, taking cue from the political necessities as indicated by the top national leaders, also implored upon all Nagas to reinvigorate the common understanding of their political aspiration.
