NABARD sanctions Rs 332.72 crore for AP roads, bridges
Hyderabad, Jan 23 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 332.72 crore loan assistance for taking up 1,549 projects in Andhra Pradesh.
According to a statement issued here, the projects were sanctioned under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund at a meeting in New Delhi yesterday.
The projects includes roads, bridges, minor irrigation, icro-irrigation and drinking water schemes under the Ambedkar Jeevandhar.
Micro-irrigation being a major thrust area for public sector investments, an amount of Rs 162.42 crore was sanctioned for the AP Micro-Irrigation Project (Phase 2) , to be implemented in 22 districts.
