MNS activists blacken DSO's face
Nanded, Jan 23 (UNI) Activists of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) today blackened the face of District Social Welfare Officer (DSO) Avinash Devsatwar to protest against the lack of amenities at the government-run hostel for backward class students here.
Police sources said that MNS activists, led by their deputy district president Jivan Matedwar, stormed the office of the DSO this afternoon and blackened his face after submitting a memorandum listing their demands.
The MNS activists warned the DSO that if their demands were not met within six days, they would parade him in the streets.
Acting on a complaint filed by the DSO, the Bhagyanagar Police have registered an offence against the MNS activists.
