JK: Militants' abortive bid to blow up BSF bunker

Baramulla, Jan 23: Militants today made an abortive bid to blow up a Border Security Force (BSF) bunker in North Kashmir, hurling a hand grenade at Bandipora, official sources said.

They said militants threw a hand grenade towards a BSF bunker at main chowk at Bandipora. However, it exploded just near it, causing injuries to one jawan.

Earlier, during the day, militants planted an IED in the nearby area to target security force vehicles. However, it was timely detected and defused by the police.
