MCD pays tributes to Netaji

New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Glowing tributes were paid to freedom fighter and Supreme Commander of the Indian National Army Subhash Chander Bose by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on the occasion of his 110th birth anniversary today.

Delhi Mayor Farhad Suri led senior MCD officials in paying floral tributes at his statue installed at Subhash Park in front of Red Fort.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Suri said Netaji was a great courageous, revolutionary and we are proud of his sacrifices and admirable courage.

He was such a great and courageous leader that lakhs of Indians dedicated their lives for freedom of India on his appeal. Netaji had powerful vision and will. The ideals shown by Netaji were worth emulating even today, he said.

His slogan ''Give me blood and I will give you freedom'' would ever be source of inspiration for all of us, he added.
