Aizawl Jan 23: After running pillar to post for years, a 55-year-old man has appealed Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga for a CBI investigation to find out his son, who has been missing since 2000.

Chhunrothanga said "Lt Col Kulwant Singh, who was then serving in Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School at Vairengte near Mzoram-Asom border, had taken my son to Chandigarh for domestic help."

He futher said acute poverty had compelled him to allow his 11-year-old son to work as a domestic help with Lt col Singh. After three years Lt Col Singh left Mizoram and since then the family had no information of their child.

''I have also registered a missing diary. But police have failed to find out my son,'' said a wailing Chhunrothanga.

Ealier Guwahati High Court had instructed Mizoram police to investigate into the matter but failed to trace Shillongthanga, the missing child, he added.

''Now the police has advised us to ask the Chief Minister for CBI intervention,'' Chhunrothanga said.

Finaly, Chhunrothanga met Mr Zoramthanga last week and requested him for a CBI investigation.
