Man kills 7 of own family

Mangaldai, Jan 23 (UNI) Seven people of a family, including four minors, were killed by another member of the same family in Panikota village, under Tangla police station in Asom's Udalguri district late last night.

Police sources informed here today one Binondo Boro (28) lynched his father and elder brother before setting fire to his brother's house.

The accused's sister-in-law and four nephews were gutted alive in the fire.

The accused, who went on a killing spree following a land-related feud with his father, attacked his father with a strong stick and hurt his elder brother as he tried intervened.

Binondo bet both his father and brother to death and then set fire to his brother's house. The wife of the elder brother and their four sons, all between one year and nine years, were gutted alive in the fire.

Binondo is absconding and police has launched a hunt to nab him, the police sources said.
