INL members observe fast to press demands

Chennai, Jan 23 (UNI) Members of the Tamil Nadu unit of the Indian National League (INL) went on a day-long fast here today, urging the Central and State Governments to provide exclusive reservation for Muslims in jobs, education and politics.

INL state president Basheer Ahamed, who led the fast said it was high time that the Central and state governments implement the long pending demands of the Muslims.

Dalit Panthers of India (DPI) general secretary Thol Thirumavalavan, Puthiya Tamizhagam president Dr K Krishnasamy, INL national president Prof Md Sulaiman, general secrtary Prof Abdul Khader and treasurer Jawahar Ali, among others addressed the members.
