Houses of migrant Kashmiri Pandits gutted in fire

Srinagar, Jan 23 (UNI) Two houses of migrant Kashmiri Pandits were gutted in ''mysterious'' blaze in Baramulla district while two people were wounded in different fire incidents across the Valley today, police said.

They said fire broke out under ''mysterious'' circumstances in the house of a migrant Kashmiri Pandit, Ramesh Kumar, at Authoora Payeen in Baramulla district today. The blaze soon engulfed the house of another migrant Kashmiri Pandit Sudesh Kumar.

Police have launched the investigations into the incident.

In another incident, five houses were gutted in devastating fire at Vatali Mohalla in Lachipora, Bijhama.

Two people Abdul Razak and Mohammad Akram Lone were wounded while trying to douse the raging flames. The cause of the fire was believed to be gas leakage.

Five houses were damaged in separate fire incidents at Tangdhar in Kupwara, Churat in Qazigund, Ikhrajpora and Kangan in Srinagar.
