Four ULFA men held in Asom, Meghalaya
Mangaldai, Jan 23(UNI) Two ULFA militants were arrested from Balipara Tinali under Kalaigaon police station of Asom today.
Police sources said that seven Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), several detonators and other explosives were recovered from them.
The explosives were suspected to have been brought to be planted in civilian localities of the area, which had so far not been targetted by the ULFA.
The two 'over ground' workers of the ULFA have been identified as Tanakeshwar Deka and Rabindra Kumar Bania.
Meanwhile, two other ULFA militants were held from Umtngam village in Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya, bordering Karbi Anglong district of Asom, earlier in the day.
Police sources in Shillong informed that the arrested ultras, identified as Ajit Baruah alias Amit Gogoi and Subhash Batrai alias Bidut Batrai, were cadres of the outfit's 27th battalion.
