Four arrested for assaulting HRTC driver
Dharamsala, Jan 23 (UNI) Four people, including two tourists, were arrested for assaulting an Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus driver just outside the local bus station here last evening, police sources today said.
Irked over the bus driver's intransigence for not giving a pass to the following Scorpio, four people traveling in it, allegedly left bus driver, Puran Chand, injured after allegedly beating after managing to pass the bus just outside the bus stand.
The sources said it soon turned out to be a free for all with the Dharamshala bus stand staff retaliating with full force, forcing the youth to flee the spot.
Following the incident, Corporation's Divisional Manager rushed to the site and informed the police who arrested four people, identified as Sardol Singh, Sardeep Kumar, Anil Kumar and Kewal Kishen under Sections 353, 332, 34 IPC and PDP Act.
The sources said the youth were granted bail by a local court here after the police produced them before it earlier today.
