Food poisoning claims 2

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Jan 23 (UNI) Two children have died of food poisoning and more than half-a-dozen people fell ill, two of them seriously, at Dantewada district's Eramnar village about 20 km from Bijapur.

A medical team reached the village after Sarpanch Hemant Kumar alerted the administration. Five of the victims belong to a single family. After a few members of Bomdaram's family fell ill yesterday, Parvati (1) and Kishan (8) died following diarrhoea.

Officials said that contaminated food was the cause.
