Disparities among teachers to be removed: CM

Bhopal, Jan 23: Assuring to remove disparities among different categories of teaching personnel in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said ''shikshakarmi'' culture would be ended to ensure respectable status to teachers.

The report of the D P Dube committee on salaries of contract teachers, shikshakarmis and Gurujis had been sought by January 26 and a decision on it would be taken by February 15, Mr Chouhan said at a teachers rally here yesterday.

The salary deducted for the strike period a few months back would be paid to the shikshakarmis, he said, adding despite limited resources the problems of shikshakarmis would be solved.
