DGP reviews security for Repulic Day celebrations in J

Jammu, Jan 23 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today reviewed security arrangements to ensure peaceful Republic Day in celebrations the state.

Security arrangements for Republic Day celebrations, particularly for the main function being held at Moulana Azad Stadium, Jammu, were reviewed at a high-level meeting chaired by Director General of police Gopal Sharma, official sources said.

Present security scenario and various other matters related to security on January 26 were discussed during the meeting.

The meeting was attended by the head of various units of security forces and police department, besides Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.

Additional Director General of Security Kuldip Khuda, Inspector General of CRPF, SSP Traffic, SSP Jammu and SSP Security and officers of Army and para-military forces were also present during the meeting.
