Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister and Congress leader J Geeta Reddy today demanded that the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao tender an apology to the Spiritual Guru Satya Sai Baba for making remarks against him.

Talking to newspersons here, she said Mr Rao should apologise to Baba. Otherwise, the Congress would teach a lesson to him, she added.

Condemning the attack on the temples of Sai Baba by the TRS activists, Ms Geeta charged Mr Rao for his failure to face the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which was opposing the Telangana and making 'cheap'statments against Baba.

Congress senior leader and supporter of Telangana state U Purushottam Reddy said there was no need to criticise Baba's statments on Telangana.

Mr Reddy alleged that Mr Rao has forgotten his status while criticising Baba and the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Telangana issue.

Baba opposed the demand for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra and called it a ''sin'' at a meeting in Chennai on January 21. Mr Rao, however, reacting sharply to Baba's observations, alleged that the Spiritual Guru was unnecessarily meddling in state politics.
