BJP MP's son chosen to fight from Tehri Lok Sabha seat

New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) The BJP Central Election Committee today cleared the name of Manjuvendra Shah, son of former late BJP MP and former King of Tehri Manavendra Shah for the coming byelections to Tehri Lok Sabha seat in Uttarakhand.

The seat has fallen vacant following the death of Mr Manavendra Shah.

The meeting consisting of top BJP leaders including, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L K Advani and other leaders cleared a second list of 18 names for for the coming assembly elections in the state. The party has cleared 51 names in the first list. The party has not finalised the nominee for the Rishikesh Assembly seat.

Following are the names of the BJP nominees and their Assembly constituencies as announced in the second list Mr Amrit Nagar (Purola) Mr Khem Singh Chauhan (Tehri), Mr Pratap Singh (Chakraata), Mr Munnu Singh Chauhan (Vikasnagar), Mr Ganesh Joshi (Rajpur), Mr Havaldar Harpal Singh (Manglore), Mr Ravindra Nagar (Laksar), Mr Prithvi Singh Vikasit (Bahadarabad), mr Sanjay Gupta (Laldaga), Bhagat Singh Rawat (Lansdown), Mr Teerath Singh Rawat (Paidee), Mr Vamshidhar Bhagat (Haldwani), Mr Karag Singh Vohra (Nainital), Mr Diwan Singh Bist (Ramnagar), Mr Surendra Singh Chauhan (Jaspur), Mr Ravinder Bajaj (Pant Nagar), Mr Rajesh Shukla (Rudrapur) and Mr Kundan Singh Tolia (Dharchula).
