BJP demands President's rule in UP
Lucknow, Jan 23 (UNI) BJP today demanded immediate imposition of the President's rule in Uttar Pradesh, following recent criminal incidents at Allahabad and Nithari.
''There is no reason to delay the imposition of president's rule in UP, since the law and order situation has ebbed,'' claimed senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Kalraj Mishra.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Mishra said there should not be any delay in dismissing the Mulayam Singh Yadav government as free and fair UP assembly election is not possible in the present regime.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Keshri Nath Tripathi, though short of demanding a CBI probe in the Allahabad rape case, has asked for a high-level investigation.
