Bharat Electronics posts 73% jump in Q3 net profit

New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Bharat Electronics Ltd today posted a 52.74 increase in its net profit at Rs 148.18 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, as against Rs 97.01 crore during the same period last year.

The company's total income also rose by 30.6 per cent to Rs 692.58 crore for said quarter, as compared to Rs 904.51 crore during the corresponding period last year.

In addition, the company's Board of Directors declared an interim dividend at Rs 4 per share.
