BEL profits, revenue soar

Bangalore, Jan 23 (UNI) Defence electronics major Bharat Electronics Limited today reported a net profit of Rs 148.18 crore on a turnover of Rs 904.51 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal.

The company, in a release here, said the net profit and revenue for the same quarter last year was Rs 97.01 crore and Rs 692.58 crore respectively.

For the first nine months of the current fiscal, BEL had a total revenue of Rs 2,290.67 crore, with the net profit being Rs 356.74 crore, as against Rs 2,042 crore revenue and Rs 300.27 crore net profit for the first nine months of the previous fiscal, it added.
