Bangalore Unwired to be reality soon
Bangalore, Jan 23 (UNI) The Bangalore Unwired project of the Karnataka Information Technology and Biotechnology Department will become a reality by next month, a senior Government official said today.
Using the latest WiMax technology, internet browsers, especially those using notebooks, could access the net anywhere within a 40 km radius from the Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat.

The department had shortlisted five vendors for the project, for which the Government would act as a facilitator. If found successful, the area covered would be incresed within Bangalore and the service extended to other cities and towns in the State, he said.
