B'lore: Acer India introduces ultra slim PC

Bangalore, Jan 23: The Acer India, one of the World's PC vendors has launched the space and power saving, an ultra slim design, MaxMini small form factor PC, one-tenth in size of the conventional tower desktops, here today.

Announcing the launch of the new products Mr Rajendran General Manager, Sales and Marketing of the Mobility and Display products Group at Acer India, said that the MaxMini PC featuring three litre box, combined with advanced Intel Core2 Duo Technology was great on power saving and offers upto 40 per cent increased performance.

He said the product Acer Aspire L310 Series PC based on Intel's latest Core2 Duo Processor technology brings greater value to consumers as Acer blazes a trail for the new generation of Deskshops.

The Technological advances of the MaxMini Acer Aspire series offers 90 per cent saving in real estate with its space saving design and upto 65 per cent cut in electricity bills through lowered power consumption.

Mr Rajendran also informed that the smaller component placement leads to better thermal management, resulting in efficient fan speed control for whisper-quiet operation and the customer no longer have to endure with the distraction of a noisy PC in his work or living space.

The new product equipped with the Intel Core2 Duo E6300, for increased performance an with the power saving advantages of Core2 Duo Technology, Acer was to be a leader in bringing the latest technology at breakthrough prices. With system memory of 512 MB DDR RAM, upgradable to 2 GB and storage capacity of 160 GB SATA, the Acer Aspire L310 has an integrated optical DVD Writer, Wireless LAN'USB MMKbd with a USB Optical Mouse, 10/100 network integrated Card, IEEE 1394 port and on board sound and graphics he said.

Mr Rajendran also informed that to begin with the new products will be made available initially at Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi where office and desk space was a large constraint before introducing it to other Tier-II cities.

He said that the Acer the 4th largest Intel customer in the world had grown over 400 per cent in the last couple of years with a partner network of over 3000 channel partners and 260 retail partners in over 108 cities and towns. The Acer also has a service network of over 175 service providers in 175 cities and 65 Acer Customer Service Centers, he said.

Mr Ashok Nair, Business Operations Manager (South Asia) Intel Technology India Private Limited also present had highlighted the special features of the new products which were unveiled on the occasion.
