A new solution for access networks to wireline Telecom service

Pune, Jan 23 (UNI) Tech Mahindra [TechM] along with Evolved Networks today announced a new solution designed to allow operators across the globe to maximise benefits from their greatest assets, the access network, to deliver profitable next-generation services and cost effective network re-generation.

President, International Operations, Tech Mahindra, C P Gurnani said introduction of new services such as IPTV, VoD, demand large amounts of data to be delivered over the antiquated access network.

These copper networks were designed to deliver voice, and massive investment is essential to meet this new demand.

In order to facilitate this change, they need an accurate picture of their local loop; something few have. Detailed knowledge of where existing access network assets lie, such as duct routes and capacity is vital to the profitable delivery of high quality next generation services.

Combining Tech Mahindra's extensive breadth and experience of delivering global services to operators worldwide with Evolved Networks' depth of knowledge and expertise of the access network,this unique software solution will allow operators to increase their profitability and improve quality of service, by helping them to efficiently manage their access network. This is a proactive approach taken by both companies in allowing operators to deliver high-quality next generation services efficiently, Gurnani said.

This relationship will allow Tech Mahindra to expand its services and offer its customers a new proven solution to this longstanding access network issue. Working closely with Tech Mahindra will allow Evolved Networks to rapidly expand its customer base by driving business deep into India, Asia Pacific and American markets, Gurnani added.
