14-year-old girl raped

Mumbai, Jan 23 (UNI) A 14-year-old maid servant was allegedly raped by her neighbour in a godown near Indira Nagar slums, at Kurla in the eastern suburbs of the metropolis.

Police today said the accused, Mohammed Nasim Choudhary (18) lured the victim to a nearby godown on the pretext of talking to her. When she went there he downed the shutter and raped her.

The gruesome crime came to light when the victim came back home and narrated her ordeal to her mother, who promptly lodged a complaint with the police yesterday.

While Choudhary is absconding, he has been booked for rape.

Efforts are underway to apprehend him, police added.
