Voluntary bandh in Puttaparti against TRS leaders' remark
Puttaparti, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 22 (UNI) People of Puttaparti, the residing place of Satya Sai Baba, today observed a voluntary bandh, protesting against the remarks of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao and Balladeer Gaddar against the Baba in Chennai yesterday.
Satya Sai Baba opposed the demand for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra and called it a sin.
Following his statement, the TRS leaders made scathing attacks on the Baba, and their followers burnt his effigies at several places in the Telangana region.
People of Puttaparti today took out a procession from the Venugopala Swamy temple to the Ganesh Circle and burnt the effigies of Chandrasekhara Rao and Gaddar.
