UP seeks ISRO help to train panchayat members

Lucknow, Jan 22 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has sent a proposal to the Centre for training panchayat representatives through satellite with the help of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

State Panchayati Raj Principal Secretary A K Joshi said here today that a comprehensive proposal had already been sent to the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj in this regard.

Besides, 'kshetra' panchayat members would be given training through regional rural development institutes and district rural development institutes.

UNI
