Two quakes measuring 5.5, 6.0 rock Indonesia
Jakarta, Jan 22: Two earthquakes struck Indonesia's easternPapua province today, officials at the meteorology and geophysicsagency said.
The first was of a moderate magnitude of 5.5 while the second wasa strong 6.0, agency officials said, adding the latter could pose atsunami risk.
''There has been no report of any tsunami nor damage from thequakes,'' said agency geologist Budi Waluyo. Another official said bothof the quakes occurred around 1000 IST.
