Transport Strike paralyses life in Nepal
Kathmandu, Jan 22 (UNI) An indefinite strike by transporters in the Himalayan nation crippled normal life for the second day today.
Public transport remained off the road while few motorcycles and private vehicles were seen plying in here.
Business and educational institutions were also affected due to strike.
Demonstrators burnt tyres in capital's Gangabu, New Road Gate, Gwarko, Koteshwor, Jadibuti, Old Bus Park, Kalanki and Bishnumati Bridge in Kalimati.
The transporters asked the government to provide security and compensation for damages to vehicles caused during protests in different parts of the country in recent times.
