Tata Motors launches stretch limo Indigo XL

Chennai, Jan 22 (UNI) Tata Motors today launched here Indigo XL, claimed to be the country's first stretch limousine longwheel.

With a wheelbase of 2650 mm, extended by 200 mm over the current sedan, the new Indigo XL increased internal space and created legroom, Tata Motors Corporate Communications Head Debasis Ray told the press here today.

The car came with six-way powered front seats with lumbar support and a separate rear air conditioner with independent controls.

Equipped with a DVD-based four-speaker integrated entertainment system with headrest-mounted with LCD screens, a car pone with blue tooth connectivity allowed conversation over speakers.

The Indigo XL came with a choice of two advanced 1.4 litre engines redifined with 16 valve twin cam petrol version churning out 101 PS, and the lilent, high torque 70 DS DICOR.

The pertol version of the Indigo XL was priced at Rs 6.70 lakh, he said.
