Sugar prices ease

Mumbai, Jan 22 (UNI) Sugar prices eased on sluggish demand, today traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Sugar in the small grade declined by Rs 10 each per quintal on lack of fresh demand.

Ex-mill sugar in the small and medium grades remained steady on moderate demand.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,500/1,543, Medium grade: Rs 1,540/1,645, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,490/1,520, Medium grade: Rs 1,515/1,580.
