SBI Life to expand its operation in 2007

Chennai, Jan 22: Leading Insurance company SBI Life has planned to expand its operation this year to strengthen its multi-distribution network.

The Company now was leveraging the 14,500 strong SBI Group branch network from where SBI Life products were currently available, a company press release said here today.

The number of SBI Life Insurance Advisors recruitment had gone up by more than double from 8,000 in March 2006 to 18,525 in December 2006.

Currently managing a portfolio of whopping six million lives, SBI Life is set to maintain its leadership in Group Lives coverage in the country.

SBI Life in this financial year has so far covered more than eight lakh group lives with an additional 2.5 lakh lives through the individual policies.

At the onset of the New Year, SBI Life has unveiled the new Horizon II Pension Product, a unit-linked pension product aimed at offering greater retirement security to investors and retirees alike.

It offers investors the opportunity for long-term capital appreciation through exposure to the markets and investment expertise of SBI Life.

The uniqueness of Horizon II Pension was a combination of Systematic Investment Planning concept with periodical automatic relocation of assets, based on the plan option and remaining term to maturity.

The other attractive feature of Horizon II Pension was the availability of optional life cover.
