Psi held for accepting Bribe OF RS 15,000

Aurangabad Maharashtra Jan 22 (UNI) A police sub-inspector landed in the ACB net while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a fair price shop owner near Gangapur police station.

Sub-inspector Sudarshan Waghmare had allegedly demanded and accepted the money from the shop owner in the police station premises, the sources said.

The shop owner was booked by police on January 20. PSI Gaikwad asked the shop owner Dadasaheb Pachpute to pay Rs 25,000, saying that he would not seek his police custody and finalise the case in its primary stages.

Pachpute approached the ACB at Aurangabad. Following his complaint, the ACB officials laid a trap near the police station and arrested Gaikwad while accepting powdered currency notes, the sources said.
