PNB hikes interest rate on domestic deposits

New Delhi, Jan 22: Punjab National Bank today increased the interest rates on large fixed deposits by 0.25 per cent to 8.25 per cent from the present eight per cent.

The hiked rates are applicable on deposits of Rs 15 lakh to less than Rs five crore, which have maturities of 2-10 years.

The interest rates on domestic term deposits were last increased in December last year. Centurion Bank of Punjab, Canara Bank and State Bank of India have already raised their fixed deposit rates.
