'Parinda', 'Agni' three-wheelers launched in Kerala

Kochi, Jan 22 (UNI) Kumar Motors Private Limited, a leading three-wheeler manufacturing company, today launched two products in the Kerala market.

Speaking to media here, Marketing General Manager C S Balachandran said one passenger carrier, Parinda, and one goods carrier, Agni, would cater to the needs of the segments concerned.

He said the two unique products in the one-tonne category were powered by fully intergral, nine HP, single cylinder four-stroke diesel engine with robust transmission.

The vehicles priced between Rs 1,45,000 and 1,48,000 had a mileage of 35 km per litre, he noted.

The models had four-forward transmission, scientifically designed driver's cabin, ergonomically designed seats and independent front and back suspension combined with a soft PU steering wheel, Mr Balachandran said.

He said the company had also got export order for 1500 units from African countries and were planning to export the vehicles to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The Pune-based company founded in 1971 started three-wheeler production in 1988, presently has a manufacturing and assembling capacity of 1000 vehicles per month.
