NSCN-IM to probe killing of Konyak youths

Kohima, Jan 22 (UNI) In the wake of rising sentiments against the killing of two Konyak youths in Kohima on January 13 by the NSCN-IM, the outfit has decided to probe the killings.

According to a release, the NSCN-IM, at a meeting yesterday, decided to seek the support of its ''Defence Ministry'' to unearth facts behind the killing of the two youth and asked to take necessary action without any reservation against any ''Naga Army personnel'' if they were found guilty.

Speaking about its stand on integrity and unity of the Naga people, the NSCN-IM said the Nagas should not succumb to divisionism and the spirit of brotherhood should remain inact.

Pointing out NSCN-IM Chairman Isak Chishi Swu's declaration on reconciliation, the NSCN-IM urged all to bury the past and unitedly strive ahead to achieve future goals.
