NALCO Q3 net up by 45.69 per cent to Rs 572.60 crore

Bhubaneswar, Jan 22 (UNI) The National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), India's leading manufacturer and exporter, has posted a net profit of Rs.572.60 crore for the 3rd quarter ending December 31, 2006.

A NALCO release here today said the net profit represented an increase of 45.69 percent over Rs 393.03 crore achieved during the corresponding period of previous year.

The sales turnover during the 3rd quarter also recorded an increase of 10.08 percent to Rs.1588.07 crore over the corresponding period figure of Rs.1442.59 crore registering highest-ever quarterly growth in profit in the history of NALCO.

It further said the cumulative net profit of the company during the nine-month period stood at Rs 1789.90 crore compared to Rs 956.63 crore in the previous year.

Similarly, the cumulative sales turnover had increased to Rs 4791.54 crore from Rs 3664.27 crore during the same period of previous year.
